117 comes from the Bible story in 1 Samuel Chapter 17, probably best known as the story of David and Goliath. David, in doing what was righteous and right, faced the giant when no one else would. He would not allow God to be mocked in front of His people. So, without concern for his own safety, David took charge with nothing but a sling and a few stones—and defeated the towering adversary. He didn’t have fancy tools or an army at his command. What he had were three crucial things: the tools he knew how to use, the skills to wield them, and, most importantly, unwavering faith in God.
